It provides more than enough strength for the task, reduces the trimmer's overall weight, and allows for some length adjustment to achieve the perfect fit for your needs. Adjusting it is as simple as flipping a quick clamp lever to either shorten or lengthen the shaft and then securing the clamp back in place.
Thanks to the carbon fiber shaft, the bare weight measures only 7.7 pounds. When incorporating a 4.0Ah battery, the total weight extends to approximately 12.5 pounds. Once the battery is attached and the brushless motor's weight at the trimmer head is considered, achieving a well-balanced feel is quite straightforward.
While the trimmer is user-friendly to handle, if you desire the use of a shoulder strap, EGO thoughtfully includes a detachable clip point in the packaging. This strap easily installs just beneath the throttle, offering about 6 inches of adjustable length to assist in finding the optimal balance point for added comfort.
